Fox News out of Washington, D.C. is running a piece on harassment and censorship of photographers in and around the D.C. area. This is something that I’ve personally experienced, and am in the process of clearing up right now (more on this to come, soon).
If you’ve experienced an issue similar to that of the photographers featured in this video–or any of the numerous photographers joining the DC Photo Rights group on Flickr–it’s important that you document (and follow up on, to the extent possible) your experience.

Thanks for this, Keith! I watched the video and was disgusted by the expression on the face of that security guard at the FBI building. She was completely without respect for the news crew. She made no proper eye contact, she put her gloves on rudely, she was dragging her feet up and down. Absolutely not a professional attitude. When I see people act like that, I lose all respect for them. And they’re supposed to tell us what to do?! First, they need to learn some manners!
And oh yeah, I’m pretty sick of seeing 9/11 used as an excuse for every stupid restriction that the government or private agencies want to impose on us.
