Dear TomTom: Your U.S. customers could use a U.S. phone number.

For some reason, TomTom no longer includes a U.S.-based phone number on their contact page. The number (866.486.6866) is, of course, available elsewhere. But according to The Google, this same number once existed in a sidebar on their main support page. Would sure be swell of them to put it back . . .

UPDATE1: The number above is now (12 Mar 08) displayed within the sidebar on TomTom’s main support page.  Their contact page (once linked above) no longer exists.

I completely agree, I find it really strange that Tomtom does not list a US number on the support page. Is it an oversight or does Tomtom have something against Americans using their support services?

  2. Keith says:

@Alex: See my update. As of the date specified, they actually did have the US number listed on their site. I still have no idea why it was missing for an extended period of time.

  3. Tim says:

Here’s their number, I saved it a long time ago.
    866-486-6866

  4. Peter says:

Don’t like the new compass look and function on the Tom Tom ONE, make it back as before it was better for navigation, THANK YOU.

I totally agree with the above. Was VERY dissappointed with my Tomtom with european software. It DID NOT work at all “Lost signal” even after manufactures FIX!

After writing twice to Concord Mass. no reply. Second letter was registered & got the recipt of delivery back.
Best Buy gave me a store credit, no problem there, but I have yet to get my $125 back on the software.
Sent one fax a week ago and am about to send another now.

Did Tomtom grow too fast and forget the customer?

I DO NOT Reccomend the Tomtom product.

If no response to todays fax, I am contacting Better Business Bureau.

    Thank you for this space.

The Tech-support is a waste of time. Tech-agents are hostile, arrogant and uninformed of their products. They do not do anything on their side. I do not recommend any tomtom products to any body.
