This is funny. For the past thirty minutes or so, Google’s Safe Browsing service has been flagging all search results as harmful (the dreaded “This site may harm your computer” link), including those for Google’s own pages.
Here’s the actual warning page itself:
UPDATE1: This is definitely widespread.
UPDATE2: Fixed, after thirty minutes or so.
UPDATE3: Naturally, on TechMeme via TechCrunch.
UPDATE4: Some donkey checked in a list of bad sites with a ‘/’ at the top. Heh.

It certainly is broken, and I’ve had no joy trying to contact Google via their help desk, pages time out with a 502 error when trying.
Funny enough I read a blog last month about “what if Google broke”
Look like now we’ll find out.
It is adding it to every single page on the internet … funny huh? Even the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) is marked as harmful – LOL
lol maybe we have to AskJeeves whats going on
It is absurb. I am about to return to using Yahoo or some other search engine to never return to Google. Woldn’t they know about this? And wouldn’t they try and put a posting somewhere to let Internet users know what might be going on?
Now their help desk reports that it is not available in English, US or UK. Looks like someone is having a bad hair day.

I’m experiencing this on my laptop with vista.
but my desktop with xp is not.
I’m afraid it may be a virus.
Yes, I have been so confused as I keep on getting the same warning in all sites I go to. I am not a technie, so I am quite worried. What do you think is going on?
